Risk Indicator is a low-cost, real-time risk classification, which evaluates the probability of a company to get into payment difficulties or go bankrupt within 12 months. The Risk Indicator rates all companies operating in Finland into five risk classes. Dozens of different factors influence the rating.

Rating Alfa is a creditworthiness classification of the financial standing of all companies operating in Finland and of their ability to meet their engagements. It is more in-depth and extensive than the Risk Indicator. The classification is shown on a seven-step scale from AAA to C. Our analysts participate in the classification of the company.

The Rating Alfa produced in a few seconds also includes the interpreted financial statement analysis, credit recommendation and other useful data about the company’s payments and background.

Company analyses and surveys
By order of clients

In the Rating Analysis, the analyst analyses the company’s finances, present status and future outlooks from the point of view of the inquirer’s needs and special questions. The financial statement analysis drawn on the basis of adjusted financial statements examine the financial development of the company in relation to previous financial years and the line of business.

The analyst also acquires the most up-to-date information, for example, on the current financial year of the company, the development of activities, competition and payment behaviour. The analysis contains the credit rating, credit recommendation and evaluation of the company’s payments, background and finances, given by the analyst.

Financial statement analyses are based on financial ratios, calculated on the basis of uniform grounds from as many as five financial years. Extensive profit and loss account and balance sheet data of companies in more than 500 lines of business form the basis for the comparison.

Companies’ financial statements are adjusted according to the recommendations of the Committee for Corporate Analysis, utilising the notes to the accounts. The adjustments are made before calculating the ratios so that different companies and financial years can be made comparable with each other. The analysis report also contains the company basics, other registration data and data concerning the audit of the accounts.

Our expert and experienced personnel analyses the Finnish trade and industry also from a wider angle, for example, in the form of industry analyses.
